rrod is not just heat. It's a general hardware failure. This could be anything from the Xclamp, which was the original reason for 360 RROD in most cases, to a disk drive failure, to a mouse finding it's way into your 360 and dying on the motherboard.
The overall failure percent is at 17 last I heard. This is down from around a reported 30 percent of launch consoles, which are still included in that number. That means a new 360 should have a percent failure rate significantly less...
I was more confused by his example than by his original statement.
There is a point to japanese modesty, and there is a point where he can claim he was being modest, but he said specifically that the PS3 had hidden limits in it that disallowed him from fulfilling his end goals.
I'm also a little confused by how he could get mistranslated by his own translator, who he speaks highly of in the thing.

Both of those statements are false OBJECTIVELY, and still people agree with them. Lacking any evidence for these remarks (when quite a bit of evidence exists to the contrary) Solely the fact that it's pro-PS3 gets it 40 agrees.

Sometime in the future, I will say these exact words
"PS3 has a better GPU than the 360," which I know full well it doesnt, and can back up fairly well with a good amount of evidence from a variety of hardware breakdowns. (the main power difference that balances the two is in the cell)

But major game sites get debug kits from console manufacturers to test pre-launch versions of games.

Cry me a flippin river. Business is business. Sony didn't have to delay the PS3 a year. That's their own fault for being stupid.
Fact: PS3 is still in third out of 3. There is no way to turn that stat into a victory.
No room for engine or multiplayer or player models or reusable assets. If you want a bunch of animation data for non-existant models and a file of what would be a pretty map if it were being rendered, have a great time with ur 25 levels.
